WOC 2019 from 12thto 17thof August have high ambitions to create the best WOC ever. Today the organisers made another step towards making the ambitions come true.

Nokian Tyres World Orienteering Championships in Østfold August 2019 aims to become the best WOC ever held. And for that vision to become a reality the WOC organisation needs your help.

The advantage with an orienteering race compared with any other race is that every competitor has a chance to win, a newspaper newspaper in 1927.

It’s all settled for great international fights amongst the juniors during WOC 2019. Two of the spectator races will be part of the national junior series (Norgescupen), and the mass start competion on Friday will use the same inrun as the WOC seniors will use the same day.

Many runners have been in touch to secure hotel accommodation for WOC 2019, from 12th to 17th of August next year. Now the possibility to book rooms at Quality Hotel Sarpsborg has been opened.

If you intend to attend the relay on the final day of WOC 2019, you’ll need to take into consideration that it will have a late finish, somewhere between 18-20 on Saturday 17th of August.

The arena for the finals during WOC 2019 in Østfold will be at Mørk gård (Mørk farm)/golf course. WOC 2019 is held 12th to 17th of August 2019.

IFK Göteborg won the big relay event 25-Manna in Stockholm this weekend, an event that gathers nearly 10000 participants. At the same time they were announced as the ambassador club for WOC 2019.

The Norwegian Orienteering Federation is very pleased with the news that the government is proposing to grant the World Orienteering Championships 2019 2 million NOK on the next years government budget, says Astrid Waaler Kaas, president of the Norwegian Orienteering Federation.
